Below are the volunteer pet portraits I’ve created for Pawmetto Lifeline, a local no-kill animal shelter that has meant so much to me since 2020. Over the years, I’ve had the honor of painting more than six of their special case dogs, and I’m so excited that one has already found a forever home. Through each portrait, I hope to shine a light on these deserving dogs by sharing their stories across my social media, giving them a better chance at finding the loving homes they deserve.

Each portrait features a custom-curated background inspired by the dog’s personality, interests, and the type of owner they are hoping to find. Once a dog is adopted, their new owner receives the original painting as a special keepsake to take home and celebrate their new companion.

Beau: October 21, 2023

Beau is a handsome boy who has been at Pawmetto Lifetime (https://pawmettolifeline.org/adoption/adopt-a-dog/) for about 4 years now. His portrait includes various colors that range from the whites and oranges in his fur to the pink and yellow tennis balls. The tennis balls in the background are meant to represent Beau’s love for tennis balls! This is the first of the many pet portraits I plan on making for Pawmetto Lifeline in the future in hopes to help homeless pets all over the world find their forever homes. 🏠🐶🎨

Keaton: March 6th, 2025

My goal with this painting is to give a spotlight to homeless dogs at a local no-kill shelter by highlighting their positive qualities, favorite activities, and special characteristics. For Keaton specifically, I used a photograph to highlight his adorable smile and colorful fur. For the background, I added various different colored splotches to communicate Keaton’s calming nature while filling the portraits negative space and sharing a side of these dogs that is usually overlooked.
