FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
What kind of paint do you use?
I use GOLDEN acrylic paint and winsor newton oil paint.
Where do you ship?
I can ship anywhere in the U.S.— shipping is not included in the cost of the portrait.
How do I place an order for a custom commission with you?
I will sell my pet portraits one by one no matter the size so that I don’t get too backed up so, all purchases are first come first serve. You can place an order on my “Book a Portrait” page.
If you would like to stay in the loop when it comes to future commission painting openings, follow my instagram for story updates on availability.
What is the commission process after booking?
After you book, email me ([email protected]) your pet’s photos— the more the better! You can go over special requests with me and then I can make sure all of the photos are the best choice for the portrait. I recommend sending high quality pictures because this willl allow me to add more detail to the painting and it makes painting easier.
I will post updates on your painting on my social media so you can stay in the loop on your pet portrait’s progress and the expected completion time. Once I finish painting, I’ll need to let it dry for at least a week (depending on the size and medium used) to make sure it won’t smear on the way home!
Once you approve of the final dried piece, I will ship it out ASAP.
Can you paint any animal?
As of right now, I am only painting dog portraits but, I am open to trying to paint other animals if you contact me before purchasing.
What kind of photo is the best for the portrait?
The best kind of photos for me to work off of show the pet looking straight ahead, taken at the animals eye level with high photo quality and natural lighting. This allows me to add more detail to the portrait. I will attach recent reference photos I used on my most recent pet portraits.
